About the Ziply Bay SMS program

Ziply Bay is repair-shop management software used by independent truck and auto repair shops. On behalf of a repair shop you are a customer of, Ziply Bay sends transactional service notifications by text message about your own vehicle repair.

These messages are strictly service-related. Ziply Bay does not send marketing, promotional, or advertising text messages.

02

How you opt in (consent)

You provide your mobile number and consent to your repair shop in one of the following ways:

  1. In person at the shop — you give your mobile number when you drop off your vehicle, and agree to receive text updates about your repair on the service authorization form you sign.
  2. On the shop's online booking form — you enter your mobile number and check the consent box before submitting your repair request.
  3. By written request — you ask the shop to text you the estimate or invoice for your repair.

The consent language presented to you reads:

Text me about my repair. I agree to receive service notification text messages from this repair shop, sent via Ziply Bay, about my vehicle repair — including my estimate and invoice. Message frequency varies (typically 1–4 messages per repair visit). Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to unsubscribe at any time. See our Privacy Policy SMS Terms and Terms of Service.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You may decline text messages and still receive service; the shop will contact you by email or phone instead.

03

What messages you will receive

Only these two message types are sent:

  • Estimate ready — a link to review and approve the estimate for your repair.
  • Invoice ready — a link to view and pay your invoice.

Sample messages

Westside Diesel: your estimate WO-1042 is ready - review & approve: https://www.ziplybay.com/?estimate=abc123
Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Westside Diesel: invoice INV-1042 ($420.00) is ready - view & pay: https://www.ziplybay.com/?pay=abc123
Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
04

Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies — you will typically receive 1 to 4 messages per repair visit. This is not a recurring subscription; messages are sent only when there is an estimate or invoice for a repair you brought in.

Message and data rates may apply. Ziply Bay and your repair shop do not charge you for these messages, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply.

05

HELP — how to get help

Reply HELP to any message to receive help information. You may also contact us at [email protected], or contact your repair shop directly using the phone number shown on your estimate or invoice.

06

STOP — how to opt out

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time. You will receive a single confirmation message, and no further text messages will be sent to your number.

Opting out of text messages does not affect your repair or your ability to receive your estimate and invoice — your shop will send them by email instead.

07

Privacy — your mobile information

No mobile information — including your phone number and SMS opt-in consent — will be shared with or sold to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Your mobile number is used solely to deliver the service notifications described above for the repair shop you are a customer of. We use a messaging carrier solely to transmit these messages on our behalf; that provider is contractually prohibited from using your information for any other purpose. See our full Privacy Policy.

08

Carrier notice and contact

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to your carrier's network and coverage.
